NVIDIA's Compiler team is dedicated to bringing best-in-class compiler technology to NVIDIA's developer community spanning across multiple domains like Deep Learning, Machine Learning, High Performance Computing, Graphics, and Automotive.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to be a key member of our Compiler Development team. You will be directly responsible for delivering the newest and most up-to-date compilers to our developers and ensuring the success of various product releases. As a strong leader and authority in cross-functional team coordination, you will drive software development and document the process from concept to delivery in a matrixed organization. You will engage in initiatives relating to process development and implementation for the Compiler organization as an independent problem solver.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on driving of software programs and processes.
  • Leading multi-functional team members in a matrix organization to deliver projects on time.
  • Leading projects in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Authoritatively presenting project status to multi-functional teams as well as executive management.
  • Working independently, taking charge, and influencing with minimal mentorship.
  • Working with global partners across multiple time zones, geographies, and diverse technical fields to define work, report on status, and deliver projects to expectations.
  • Influencing other teams by creating an efficient and accountable development environment through process development and improvement.
  • Observing and following defined processes for escalation if the execution of planned work product tasks is not on track.
  • Thinking strategically and tactically to distill sophisticated projects into manageable tasks and milestones, then optimally disseminating them to multi-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical degree.
  • 8+ years in a similar or related role.
  • Passionate about details and an authority at multitasking.
  • Validated Software Engineering background and technical skills.
  • Ability to investigate technical issues with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, software development standard methodologies, and compilers is highly valued.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Creative problem solver, able to resolve technical issues and conflicting priorities.
  • Track record of understanding and implementing foundational program management skills: risk management, tracking and monitoring, meeting facilitation, domain expertise, time management, and problem-solving.

Skills

  • Experience with Open Source ecosystems and challenges, LLVM upstream contributions, and repository mirroring and unification.
  • Compiler, GPU, CUDA, and AI knowledge.
  • Crafting and implementing new processes for workflow between different teams.
  • Experience with project management tools like JIRA (Atlassian Project Management & Teamwork Software) and MS Project.
  • Implementing tool automation in support of this role is a plus.
  • Creatively resolving technical issues and resource conflicts through consensus and team building to deliver sophisticated products to customers.
  • Project Management Professional Certification.

Pay

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is $168,000 USD - $258,750 USD. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
