About the role

Responsible for designing, developing, and managing complex software systems for international programs at General Atomics and affiliated companies. Works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement software systems to support international programs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, project managers, and clients
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Document system design and development processes
  • Perform unit testing and integration testing of software components
  • Participate in code refactoring and optimization efforts
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and project management
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar
  • Experience with version control systems like Git
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
