Senior Software QA/Test Analyst (Remote)
Responsible for developing, modifying, and executing software test plans, test scenarios, defining and solving for test data needs, automated scripts, and programs for testing to ensure outgoing software and technical products meet and exceed quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Analyze moderately complex requirements, operational problems, specifications, and change requests.
- Produce test plans and test cases to determine the presence and scope of potential code defects.
- Monitor accurate and thorough test cases, scripts, and data with pre-determined results within specified scheduled dates.
- Perform test execution of all assigned test cases.
- Research and provide technical support on operational/test system defects and propose solutions.
- Analyze test results to ensure functionality meets requirements and recommend corrective action if necessary.
- Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems.
- Provide feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of systems, application interfaces, and application software.
- Guide and mentor a team of testers in support of projects and day-to-day testing efforts, including working with associates, contractors, and third-party resources.
Position does not have direct reports but is expected to assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff. May lead a team of matrixed resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
- 5 years of experience in software development and/or testing.
Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of software test requirements and protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
- Knowledge of wireless communications and network systems.
- Advanced programming skills in a programming language.
- Working experience with databases.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products or equivalent.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers.
- Effective communication and positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including demanding or challenging customers.
Pay
Salary Range: $80,280 - $159,445
The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the work is being performed. This compensation range considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business considerations. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range.
