Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the software product vision, roadmap, and long-term strategy for connected energy platforms.
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competitive positioning, and regulatory developments within renewable energy and smart energy systems.
  • Identify opportunities for AI-enabled optimization, predictive analytics, energy forecasting, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Align product strategy with business growth objectives and monetization opportunities.
  • Translate industry and customer insights into actionable product requirements and innovation initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across software engineering, hardware/IoT engineering, cloud architecture, UX/UI, QA, customer success, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Coordinate development of integrated platforms involving: IoT-connected devices and telemetry systems, mobile applications (iOS & Android), cloud monitoring and analytics platforms, web dashboards and customer portals, APIs and AI/ML-driven automation tools.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through launch, scaling, and continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize features and releases based on customer value, business impact, technical feasibility, and monetization potential.
  • Ensure interoperability between hardware, firmware, cloud infrastructure, and third-party energy systems.
  • Guide implementation of AI and machine learning capabilities including: predictive maintenance, energy optimization, load forecasting, fault detection, smart automation, customer usage analytics.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to define data architecture and analytics requirements.
  • Support development of real-time monitoring and intelligent reporting systems.
  • Engage directly with customers across North America, Europe, and Asia in residential, C&I, and utility solar markets.
  • Gather customer feedback to improve usability, adoption, and product-market fit.
  • Support go-to-market initiatives with sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
  • Develop product messaging, release notes, technical collateral, whitepapers, presentations, and training materials.
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, analyst briefings, and customer meetings.
  • Define KPIs, success metrics, and performance benchmarks for software products and digital services.
  • Ensure software scalability, reliability, cybersecurity, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Support Agile/Scrum development methodologies and product management best practices.
  • Cook up technology partnerships, vendors, and external integrations when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Energy Systems, or related field.
  • 6+ years of Software Product Management and/or Product Marketing experience delivering high-value software or connected products.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, IoT systems, APIs, mobile applications, and SaaS ecosystems.
  • Experience managing products involving telemetry systems, remote monitoring, or connected devices.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems, solar technologies, battery storage, or energy management platforms.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications, analytics, and intelligent automation systems.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across global teams, cultures, and time zones.
