About the role

Manage and grow a team building agentic AI solutions, including sophisticated coding agents, custom skills/tools, and their integration with enterprise production systems for chip design workflows.

Provide technical direction and strategic leadership in the design, development, and deployment of chip design related AI applications using LLMs, agentic systems, and related technologies.

Drive model customization and post-training — including fine-tuning, RL, and instruction/skill tuning — to adapt LLMs for chip-design coding, debugging, and reasoning tasks.

Oversee development of retrieval and generation algorithms for enterprise data (text, code, waveforms, and images) to support advanced AI use cases across EDA and hardware engineering.

Partner closely with engineering, research, and product teams to deliver LLM-powered solutions for engineering assistants and multi-turn, multi-modal dialogue systems.

Ensure high technical standards and drive operational excellence across AI application development efforts, including evaluation frameworks, safety guardrails, and production monitoring of agent behavior.

Stay informed on the latest advancements in ML/AI and ensure your team adopts the most effective techniques and tools.

Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture while mentoring team members and supporting their career growth.

Requirements

Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

12+ years of industry experience overall, including 5+ years in technical leadership or managing software/AI teams.

Direct experience at the intersection of chip design and AI — including work in the chip design industry and a track record of releasing real products/apps that accelerated chip design.

A track record of leading teams that build ML/AI systems, with hands-on experience post-training LLMs and building agentic systems.

Deep technical foundations in software engineering — especially Python, data structures, and large-scale system design.

Strong people-leadership instincts: mentoring, coaching, and building teams that consistently perform at a high level.

A history of steering cross-functional efforts and shipping production-grade AI applications.

A hands-on leader who moves fluidly between strategic direction and deep technical execution.
