Senior Software Frontend Engineer, Market Pricing

About the role

The Market Pricing Team at Pave is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Frontend Engineer to deliver data-dense interfaces, architect scalable code, and drive technical strategy. This role is open in multiple locations: San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, and Salt Lake City, UT.

Responsibilities

• Deliver data-dense interfaces where compensation teams explore benchmarks, price roles, and make high-stakes decisions with confidence
• Architect code that scales with the product, setting the bar for craft in performance, interaction quality, and accessibility
• Drive technical strategy and hold yourself accountable for delivering outcomes, not just plans or implementation

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience
• Empathy for compensation teams and understanding of pricing challenges
• Strong judgement in prioritization and ability to scope appropriately
• Great communication skills, able to clarify complex problems
• Systematic thinking and holistic approach to technical decisions
• Ability to create reusable patterns, abstractions, or systems
• Investment in developing the engineers around you through coaching, mentorship, and feedback
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and shipping thoughtful solutions

Qualifications

• Experience with modern web technologies including React, Vue.js, Angular, or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of CSS, JavaScript, and related libraries/frameworks
• Experience with front-end performance optimization techniques
• Understanding of user interface design principles and accessibility standards
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

Pay

$195,500 - $264,500

Schedule

Pave operates on a hybrid model with in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
