Senior Software Engineer – VoIP

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for VoIP solutions to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience building and shipping production systems, a strong track record of problem-solving, and hands-on experience with AI coding tools.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end, from design to production
• Influence architecture and collaborate with product and design teams
• Ensure reliability of VoIP systems as we scale
• Invest in the development and growth of the team

Requirements

• Experience with VoIP platforms such as FreeSwitch, Kamailio, OpenSIPS, and Asterisk
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Copilot
• Experience with distributed systems concepts, including queues, event-driven architecture, and horizontal scaling
• WebRTC experience, including SDP negotiation, ICE/STUN/TURN, and browser/mobile softphones
• Experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics tools
• Proficiency in packet capture utilities and application-level troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Familiarity with network and server-status monitoring
• Experience at a fast-moving startup or SaaS company

Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to take initiative and drive projects from conception to completion
• Experience with AI tooling as a productivity enhancer
