About the role
The Senior Software Engineer - UI/UX will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving intuitive, high-impact software experiences that support cybersecurity professionals in protecting essential systems and infrastructure. They will collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to solve meaningful challenges in a remote-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of designing, implementing, and evolving user-facing software features from initial concepts through production delivery.
- Build intuitive interfaces that help users analyze complex information and respond effectively to security challenges.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to transform complex requirements into scalable solutions.
- Make informed engineering decisions by balancing user experience, technical quality, delivery timelines, and long-term maintainability.
- Identify opportunities to simplify systems, improve workflows, and reduce technical complexity.
- Contribute to architecture improvements, development standards, tooling enhancements, and engineering best practices.
- Drive improvements to developer experience, software quality, and team effectiveness through technical leadership.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and initiatives that strengthen engineering capabilities across teams.
Requirements
- Experienced software engineer with strong front-end expertise, excellent engineering judgment, and the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Proven ability to own projects from concept through implementation and delivery.
- Experience with modern front-end technologies, including React, TypeScript, testing frameworks, state management, and contemporary build tools.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering efficiency and software quality.
- Strong understanding of user experience principles and building scalable UI solutions.
- Experience designing or integrating with backend APIs and distributed systems.
- Experience contributing to shared UI component libraries or design systems is preferred.
- Experience driving technical initiatives, mentoring teammates, or influencing engineering practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, operational technology (OT), or industrial control systems (ICS) environments is beneficial.
