Responsibilities
- Create and maintain software and systems for improved service availability and scalability
- Set architectural direction for infrastructure and platform services
- Implement tools and processes for deployment and infrastructure management
- Troubleshoot and debug critical systems throughout the software development lifecycle
- Aid in evolving capabilities provided to the engineering team
- Plan for capacity and forecast demand to avoid performance bottlenecks
- Participate in rotating on-call duties
Qualifications
- Extensive fluency in AWS and Linux
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and debugging code in languages such as Python, Go, PHP, and Javascript
- Expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
- 5 years of experience managing infrastructure and systems
- Knowledge of operating and observing microservices in a production cloud environment
- Ability to communicate effectively across technical levels
- Passion for streamlining processes and improving developer experience
