Senior Software Engineer, Selling Partner Promotions (SPP)

About the role

The Selling Partner Promotions organization is seeking a Software Development Engineer III to join the Promotions Lifecycle Management (PLM) team. This role involves architecting and building critical infrastructure for managing the promotion lifecycle of all Selling Partner promotions, impacting how businesses connect with customers through innovative promotional strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance systems for managing promotion data across multiple global APIs, ensuring robust data persistence, security, and access control.
• Lead architectural decisions for the promotion lifecycle management platform, balancing technical constraints while focusing on long-term extensibility and system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive solutions spanning the full software lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and maintenance strategies.
• Drive engineering excellence by establishing best practices, conducting thorough code reviews, and mentoring team members while ensuring operational excellence through proper monitoring, alarms, and runbook processes.
• Analyze complex business requirements and technical constraints to build elegant solutions that simplify existing systems while enabling future innovation for internal and external selling partner experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
