Duties

Lead the end-to-end development of customer-facing travel web applications, with a primary focus on frontend architecture and user experience optimization. Design, develop, and deploy new features specifically for high-traffic travel booking platforms integrated with third-party APIs. Act as a customer- and product-focused engineer. Collaborate closely with product managers and UX designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions tailored for Rocket Travel’s partner platforms. Conduct advanced A/B testing and data-driven feature enhancements to improve conversion rates and customer engagement, leveraging in-depth knowledge of travel industry user behavior. Utilize with React and GraphQL, with the opportunity to learn and make contributions on the backend.

Requirements

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field of study and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in any job title/occupation/position involving developing scalable and maintainable software solutions.
  • Experience specified must include each of the following: 5 years of experience with at least one modern programming language, such as Java, Scala, Kotlin, C#, Python, or JavaScript;
  • 5 years of experience with software development principles, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and data structures, including schema design and query optimization for dynamic travel data;
  • 3 years of experience with building and maintaining distributed systems and microservices architecture;
  • 3 years of experience with relational and non-relational databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, specifically for storing and retrieving travel booking and user profile data;
  • 2 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (such as Git), and agile development practices;
  • 2 years of experience in implementing A/B testing frameworks and analyzing user interaction data to drive product decisions in the travel technology domain.

Salary: $156,000– $182,000/ per year
