Senior Software Engineer - Product Delivery Team - #4825
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and backend services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code primarily in Python and/or Go.
- Collaborate with product managers, quality assurance partners, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Support system reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Contribute to software architecture discussions, technical design, and implementation planning.
- Evaluate and adopt technologies and tools that improve development efficiency and product delivery.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience building and supporting software applications in a production environment.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go.
- Working knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, including APIs, system design, testing, and debugging.
- Experience working with backend services, distributed systems, or cloud-based applications.
- Experience with version control systems and modern software development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and the ability to work effectively across functions.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and an eagerness to learn new technologies.
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Pay
The expected, full-time, annual base pay scale for this position is $136K-$180K. This role may be eligible for other forms of compensation, including an annual bonus and/or incentives, subject to the terms of the applicable plans and Company discretion.
Schedule
This role may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement, with the ability to work from GRAIL's office or from home. Our current flexible work arrangement policy requires that a minimum of 60%, or 24 hours, of your total work week be on-site. Your specific schedule, determined in collaboration with your manager, will align with team and business needs and could exceed the 60% requirement for the site. At our new Sunnyvale campus, Tuesdays and Thursdays are the key days where we encourage on-site presence to engage in events and on-site activities.
