Senior Software Engineer (ONSITE)
About the role
Solipsys, a wholly owned subsidiary of Collins Aerospace/RTX, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about software development and eager to contribute to the creation of innovative command and control software systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and code critical capabilities in an active Agile environment.
- Develop innovative new features for a new real-time situational awareness Command & Control (C2) systems.
- Work in a highly collaborative team environment to design, architect, and innovate software solutions.
- Engage and build positive relationships with both customers and internal/external employees.
- Travel to customer sites for demos, integration, and support (up to 25%).
Qualifications
- Relevant work experience in software development using object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C++.
- Strong computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, information retrieval.
- Relevant work experience with full life cycle development including exposure to software requirements, design, development, debug, and test.
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or a minimum of 3 years of experience with an Advanced Degree.
- Direct hands-on individual experience with GraphQL, REST, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, among many other programming languages and related technologies.
- Experience with container orchestration implementation such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $95,500 - $181,700 annually.
