Senior Software Engineer - .NET

About the role

Tyler Technologies’ Maryland Enterprise is seeking a Senior .NET Software Engineer to join a strong development team. You will translate complex business requirements into functional web-based applications throughout all stages of the SDLC, focusing on security, efficiency, maintainability, and usability.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship high-quality customer-facing web applications.
• Maintain and improve a distributed cloud platform running on AWS.
• Develop and containerize .NET applications deployed to AWS.
• Provide direct mentorship to junior engineers on the team.
• Collaborate with engineers, engineering management, designers, and project managers to design and architect solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience for a senior-level role.
• Full-stack engineering experience, with willingness to work across the stack.
• Significant frontend experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and familiarity with Vue, React, and Bootstrap.
• Experience developing secure .NET C# containerized applications in AWS.
• Demonstrated ownership of system lifecycle: design, testing, deployment, metrics, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to team success.
• Proficiency with relational databases (MS-SQL) and NoSQL stores; bonus for Elasticsearch/AWS experience.
• Experience converting .NET Framework to .NET containerized apps; Java development is a plus.
• Comfort working in a heterogeneous environment with multiple languages and technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, focusing on root causes rather than symptoms.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Enjoy collaborating with business, infrastructure, and development teams.
