Senior Software Engineer, Mapping - Autonomous Vehicles

For our client, a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space, this role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions, influencing architecture, execution quality, and long-term technology capabilities.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Build scalable mapping systems using crowdsourced perception data
• Develop algorithms for 3D reconstruction and road scene understanding
• Implement map fusion and change-detection methods
• Create production systems to process fleet data into map products
• Invent evaluation methods for map accuracy and consistency
• Develop tools for visualizing and debugging reconstruction quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate maps into driving systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent
• Strong programming skills in C++ for production-level software
• Solid foundation in 3D computer vision and geometry
• Experience with large-scale sensor data and vehicle tracking
• Ability to analyze coordinate frames, calibration, and optimization
• Strong debugging and analytical skills for data inspection and performance measurement

Pay

$152,000 – $287,500 annually
