Senior Software Engineer in Test

The Role

The Software Developer in Test at Q2 ensures top-tier software quality for online banking solutions. Key responsibilities include collaborating with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define test strategies and deliverables, designing and implementing test plans, developing and maintaining automation tests, executing tests, mentoring junior test engineers, and contributing to test planning and release readiness activities.

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in (relevant degree) and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
• Strong expertise in automation, testing methodologies, and test plan development.
• Experience testing web-based software solutions (front-end and back-end).
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Selenium, and automation frameworks.
• Skilled in debugging complex web applications and analyzing logs.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (Gitlab/Bitbucket), defect tracking (Jira), RESTful APIs, and SaaS.
