On-siteEngineering$174k–$232k/yrFull-time

About the role

LVT is a company that redefines physical security solutions with AI-driven intelligence. Founded on innovative, hands-on principles, LVT has grown into a leading provider of intelligent site technology. Recognized for its growth and technological excellence, LVT is now seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to join its dynamic team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture, development, and high-quality release of mobile client features across UI, advanced navigation, state management, and offline behaviors.
  • Lead the design and evolution of mobile client infrastructure, authoring comprehensive engineering design documents that align adjacent web, platform, and device teams.
  • Trace and resolve complex, customer-facing bugs across service boundaries, including the GraphQL gateway, auth layers, and device control paths, contributing directly to backend repositories when required.
  • Oversee the complete mobile release pipeline, managing EAS Build/Submit/Update toolchains, provisioning, TestFlight, staged rollouts, and rapid hotfix deployment strategies.
  • Instrument applications for production stability—monitoring crashes, cold starts, and delivery metrics for WebSocket and push-driven real-time alert systems.
  • Actively mentor junior and mid-level engineers, establish technical thought leadership, and elevate team-wide standards for code reviews, design docs, and testing paradigms.
  • Partner directly with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps to translate complex business requirements into scalable, performant mobile technology.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of shipping production mobile applications and driving cross-team technical alignment.
  • 3+ years of professional React Native experience (or 4+ years of native iOS/Android with extensive production RN deployment) and an active portfolio in the App Store and Google Play.
  • Deep production experience utilizing Expo (managed/bare workflows), EAS tools, TypeScript (strict mode, generics), and advanced client-state architectures (React Query, Zustand, Context).
  • Strong background implementing production push notifications (APNs/FCM lifecycle), real-time network connectivity (WebSockets), and device-level authentication (OAuth/OIDC, secure storage, biometrics).
  • Demonstrated success profiling real devices for startup speed, list virtualization (FlashList), memory leaks, and fluid animations (Reanimated).
  • Proven ability to rapidly digest unfamiliar codebases, contribute meaningfully within a quarter, and effectively navigate legacy infrastructure lacking documentation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the executive presence to guide cross-discipline design reviews and articulate complex technical tradeoffs clearly to engineering leadership.

Qualifications

  • Nice to have: Native module development (Swift/Kotlin), WebRTC video streaming, offline synchronization patterns, automated mobile testing depth (Detox/Maestro), or familiarity with our broader stack (Node.js, NestJS, Apollo Federation, IoT).

Pay

The beginning annual salary range for this role is $173,700 - $232,000 USD and is determined by location, job-related experience, and education/training. Your total earning potential is amplified by a bonus structure tied to meeting goals, and you will become an owner from day one through our employee equity program.

Benefits

We believe you do your best work when your whole life is supported. We invest in our crew’s health, families, and financial futures with a benefits package designed to support you inside and outside the office. Full-time benefits include, but not limited to: Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits (401k match up to 4%), and flexible PTO. LVT is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status. All candidates must pass a drug screening and background check upon employment. Some roles may also require passing a federal background check and fingerprinting. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
