Senior Software Engineer II, Developer Experience
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer II, Developer Experience to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will focus on building and improving the internal systems, tooling, and infrastructure that help engineering teams work more efficiently. You will own high-impact technical initiatives from scoping through implementation, partnering closely with other engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to reduce friction and strengthen developer productivity. The position calls for strong technical judgment, independent execution, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain internal tooling and infrastructure for engineering productivity
- Own technical initiatives from scoping through implementation with high accountability
- Identify and address friction points in the developer experience through collaboration
- Participate in design and code reviews to shape internal platforms
- Adapt and make technical decisions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering complex systems in production
- Proficiency in backend languages such as Go, Ruby, Python, or Java
- Experience with developer tooling, CI/CD systems, or productivity infrastructure
- Ability to lead and deliver cross-functional technical projects independently
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical trade-offs across teams

Pay
$196,000 – $207,000 annually
