About the role

This team is responsible for developing comprehensive system software solutions from concept to production. The Senior System Software Engineer will oversee the entire lifecycle of GPU feature development, including proof of concept, design, architecture, algorithm implementation, and both pre/post-SI optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Define, POC, design, and develop display features based on VESA Display Port standards like DP 2.1, HDMI, and eDP.
  • Drive and resolve complex optimization strategies independently across multiple teams and technical disciplines.
  • Influence next-generation GPU/SoC and Platform architecture by creating internal architecture specifications and design specifications.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with local and remote teams in addition to driving interaction with OEM/ODM partners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience in system software or related field.
  • B.S. or higher degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science/Engineering and related field.
  • Strong programming skills in C, in-depth knowledge of low level interfaces.
  • Solid background in operating system internals, device driver, real-time embedded operating system, algorithms and data structures.
  • Must be able to work closely with hardware designers and other driver engineers to create new features and solutions.
  • Strong system-level debugging skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
  • Ability to achieve objectives under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of low-level display pipeline fundamentals like VESA, HDMI, DP, eDP, PSR, FreeSync.
  • Architecture and design experience in SoC/GPU software display, power management, and optimization.
  • Prior experience in display technologies like VESA DP, eDP, and HDMI and SW/HW optimizations.
  • Working experience in system software, operating system internals, kernel modules, and device driver.

Skills

  • Strong programming skills in C.
  • In-depth knowledge of low level interfaces.
  • Solid background in operating system internals, device driver, real-time embedded operating system, algorithms and data structures.

Benefits

NVIDIA offers a competitive salary and a generous benefits package. The base salary range for Level 3 is 152,000 USD - 241,500 USD, and for Level 4 is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD. Additionally, employees are eligible for equity and benefits.

Base salary range: 152,000 USD - 241,500 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4.
