About the role

Aquent Studios is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support a leading innovator in the manufacturing and technology sector. This role offers the chance to contribute to the core infrastructure powering advanced products and services, enhancing operational excellence and product teams' success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of robust and scalable software solutions within a platform engineering context.
  • Collaborate closely with product teams to understand their needs and deliver functionalities that enhance their success.
  • Engage in paired programming to foster knowledge sharing and ensure high-quality code.
  • Contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of platform development initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in system quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple technical requests in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of professional experience in programming and software development, with a strong emphasis on Go (approximately 70% of experience), complemented by experience in Java, Rust, and/or Python.
  • 3+ years of experience hosting services within cloud technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience deploying and/or managing Kubernetes clusters.
  • Proficiency with OpenTelemetry and Terraform.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a paired programming environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a knack for tact and negotiation.
  • A self-driven mindset with a strong initiative to tackle challenges and drive solutions.
  • Able to manage multiple competing priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog and/or Grafana.

Pay

Compensation Range: $70.00-$72.26 per hour, W2 only. No C2C, please. The range provided is our reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location.
