About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack, you will develop, maintain, and scale both the user-facing web applications and the core backend APIs that power our cutting-edge products. You will bridge the gap between our real-time data pipelines and intuitive user interfaces, ensuring a seamless experience for our users.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain responsive front-end applications and the robust backend APIs that support them.
- Implement real-time data streaming features to visualize dynamic data on maps and dashboards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Backend, Data Science, and DevOps teams to integrate AI models into the user experience.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle—from coding and code reviews to deployment and feature monitoring.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code across the entire stack.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot bugs, and assist in root cause analysis for production issues.
What You Need
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience across the full stack.
- Solid proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, TypeScript) and backend languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Rust, Go).
- Experience handling real-time data on the frontend (e.g., WebSockets, SSE) and managing application state.
- Good understanding of API design (REST/GraphQL), relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), and caching layers (e.g., Redis).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and modern development workflows (Git).
- Able to leverage AI coding assistants to increase velocity while fully understanding and taking ownership of all code you commit.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with web-based mapping and visualization libraries (e.g., Mapbox, MapLibre).
- Experience with real-time audio consumption workflows, including Opus decoding, browser audio rendering APIs, and managing multi-channel live audio streams via LiveKit/WebRTC.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and basic Kubernetes concepts.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures or streaming systems.
- A deep interest or background in aerospace, aviation, or autonomous systems.
