Senior Software Engineer (Frontend), Space

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on transforming military capabilities with advanced technology. The Space team develops AI-powered systems for space domain awareness, control, and command and control, integrating with legacy systems and new space technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own the software solutions deployed to customers
• Develop frontend software capabilities for mission-critical systems
• Integrate with legacy systems to enhance capabilities
• Write code to improve and scale mission capability
• Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality
• Triage issues, root cause failures, and coordinate next steps
• Partner with end-users to translate needs into features
• Create elegant SaaS or on-premise solutions that exceed current market offerings
• Contribute to the quality of team applications
• Have a deep expertise in a portion of the full stack (backend, frontend, integration)
• Work in a high-functioning team to finish critical projects

Requirements

• Strong engineering background from industry or school, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and detailed requirements
• Capable of solving complex technical problems independently
• Clear communication and organizational skills, including documentation and training material
• 5+ years of professional programming experience with relevant frontend JavaScript frameworks
• A desire to work on critical software with real-world impact
• Experience with large enterprise applications and platforms with high availability requirements
• Experience with real-time user interfaces using reactive programming libraries like RxJS
• Proficiency with web-based technologies such as JavaScript, React, TypeScript
• Ability to empathize with end-users, turning needs into features, and balancing user experience with engineering constraints
• Eligible for an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Pay

US Salary Range: $191,000 - $253,000 USD
