About the role
Globus Medical is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a small, multidisciplinary development team focused on the development of a complete surgical robotic system. This role requires a proactive and autonomous mindset, with a focus on problem-solving, and a Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 3-5 years.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing front-end and middle-end aspects of software for medical devices.
- Partnering with Product Manager and UI/UX Designer for prototyping, evaluation, and implementation of User Interface view models.
- Managing all aspects of assigned work packages to ensure timely completion of tasks while remaining in full compliance with Globus software development environment (version control, tool chains, documentation tools) and quality system.
- Actively contributing to software design verification and validation activities to ensure designs meet requirements.
- Creating and maintaining assigned design history file software documents, and assisting in writing regulatory documents required for product/software certification.
- Periodically attending surgical cases to understand context, workflows with integrated capital equipment and end-user (i.e., surgeon) requirements.
- Adhering to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role.
- Representing the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus.
Requirements
- Proactive and autonomous mindset supported by problem solving skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5-7 years or a Master’s degree with 3-5 years in a similar role in an international, matrixed and fast-growing environment.
- Medical devices or life sciences experience is an asset.
- Object oriented C++ development, including C++17 and later.
- Qt and QML framework experience.
- Test-driven programming.
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time and attend cadaver labs and surgeries.

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
