Senior Software Engineer DevOps (Onsite)

About the role

The Digital Engineering Methods, Process & Adoption Software Solution team at Collins Aerospace is dedicated to driving digital transformation within the organization. This role is perfect for a Senior level Software Engineer with extensive experience in DevSecOps, focusing on the design, implementation, and enhancement of the Collins Cert DevOps pipeline solution.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of new capabilities for our Cert DevOps pipeline.
• Optimize existing Cert DevOps pipeline capabilities.
• Set-up and own sandbox environments for technology incubation and development.
• Use organizational skills to keep track of everything.
• Communicate effectively with engineering peers, leadership, and customers.
• Solve problems, make decisions, and collaborate with the team to support the mission.

Requirements

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Practical experience in all aspects/phases of the software engineering product lifecycle to include all phases of certification.
• Experience with DevSecOps.
• Experience with C/C++, Ada.
• Experience with GitLab, Git, CMake, MinGW, LynxOS, Coverity, Artifactory, Docker, Vista.
• Experience and/or knowledge of scripting languages: Python, Robot, Lava.
• Experience with networking protocols and IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Agile development life cycle and best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with networking protocols and IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Agile development life cycle and best practices.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

This is an onsite position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
