Senior Software Engineer - DevOps

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer - DevOps at Light & Wonder, you will be a key contributor within a collaborative, global engineering team focused on delivering robust, innovative technology solutions that support both internal systems and customer-facing products for the most iconic casinos and operators across the globe.

Responsibilities

• Develop products built with sufficient quality and efficiency to meet business goals.
• Follow detailed requirements and instructions provided by the Manager to ensure accurate and thorough testing.
• Provide operational and customer support when required.
• Contribute to development planning and provide progress reports to superiors (technical services and operations support may consume 30% of the job function).
• Act as an individual contributor and team leader with a total commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Rapidly understand requirements, architectures, and development tools.
• Design solutions to meet requirement and architectural constraints.
• Perform knowledge transfer and mentorship to other engineers.
• Aggressively pursue resolution to issues with release engineering systems and tools.
• Expert troubleshooting across multiple projects.
• Act independently to determine methods and procedures for new assignments.
• Proactively research and evaluate new technologies, determining appropriate time to apply them.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in implementing DevOps practices.
• Gaming industry experience preferred.
• 5 days in office.

• Experience with virtual environments, Jenkins automation, Packer/Docker, Chocolatey.
• Strong development abilities in C#, C++, VBScript, JavaScript, ASP.Net, HTML, Perl, awk, Python, Lua.
• Strong PowerShell, Batch scripting, and Shell scripting abilities.
• Experience with databases such as MS SQL Server.
• Expertise with software version control systems: GitHub, Perforce.
• Proficiency with Atlassian tools JIRA and Confluence.
• Leadership and team management abilities.
