This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence, working across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $169,000 – $195,000 annually.
Responsibilities
- Build foundational backend systems for a multi-cloud SaaS platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development with customer needs
- Write secure, maintainable, and efficient production-grade code
- Ensure code quality and high standards through testing and optimization
- Propose and prototype innovative solutions to technical challenges
- Engage with stakeholders about ongoing project progress and updates
- Participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot customer-impacting issues
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development
- Strong understanding of computer science principles and algorithms
- Proven experience in building distributed, multi-tenant, and auto-scalable services
- Proficiency in statically typed languages like Go, Kotlin, Java, or Scala
- Familiarity with major cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Knowledge of NoSQL and relational databases, including data modeling and access patterns
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, EKS, GKE)
