Senior Software Engineer (Contingent)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Contingent) to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will focus on designing and delivering scalable software systems that support complex business and technical needs in a healthcare environment. The engineer will partner closely with stakeholders, technical leaders, and cross‑functional teams to turn business goals into practical architecture and implementation plans. Location: Remote – US‑based candidates only (no visa sponsorship available).

Responsibilities

• Implement scalable and resilient software systems based on technical roadmaps.
• Execute agile value‑stream initiatives to meet business and technical goals.
• Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to technical vision.
• Review new technologies and tools to enhance system efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business goals into technical requirements.
• Support mid‑level engineers and foster a culture of learning and ownership.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent required; M.S. preferred.
• 8+ years of experience architecting and maintaining large‑scale multi‑tier web applications.
• 5+ years of experience developing and managing JSON APIs.
• Extensive knowledge of microservices, APIs, and event‑driven architectures.
• Experience with containerization technology such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Pay

$125,000 – $150,000 annually.
