About the role

Join SeatGeek’s Cloud Platform team as a Senior Software Engineer. This unique role combines traditional Software Engineering with infrastructure development, focusing on scaling, workflow automation, and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Bring a software engineer’s mindset to SeatGeek’s unique scaling, workflow automation, and resilience challenges
• Build and maintain tools for observing applications and driving initiatives to increase reliability
• Engineer resilient and observable networking infrastructure supporting diverse workloads across multiple regions
• Collaborate with other departments on running production systems and deployments with autonomy
• Support teams with expertise in deployment, configuration, routing, monitoring, and scalability across the stack
• Leverage cutting-edge AI tools to bring ideas to life faster while maintaining SeatGeek’s technical and product standards
• Become a force multiplier by mentoring and leading the team around you
• Participate in an on-call schedule to help our customers experience more live events

Requirements

• Passion for craftsmanship and product, with well-considered opinions about software and infrastructure
• Experience building business-critical software in a fast-paced environment
• Experience solving complex technical challenges, including high traffic onsales, interactive venue maps, inventory tracking, and event matching
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and serverless compute platforms
• Experience with continuous integration, delivery, testing, and code deployment
• Experience using observability tools to make performance improvements and forecast growth
• Experience improving system architecture, diagnosing shortcomings, and implementing evidence-based recommendations

Benefits

Competitive salary range: $144,000 - $209,000 USD. Equity eligible. Discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
