Senior Software Engineer - C Programming

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - C Programming to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development.
• 5+ years of experience in C.
• 3+ years of experience in high volume, low latency OLTP applications.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).

Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry, specifically card processing is a plus.
• Experience in Java, C#, C++, or similar programming languages is a plus.
• Experience in SQL databases is a plus.
• Experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP services is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
