Enterprise Business Solutions is seeking a transformational Senior Software Engineer to support our Law, Compliance, Privacy, and Government Relations portfolio.

About the role

In this role, you'll contribute to key technology transformation initiatives focused on modernizing our platform, migrating solutions to AWS, and retiring legacy applications. You'll partner with teammates and business stakeholders to deliver innovative, scalable solutions that drive business value.

  • Be a key contributor in implementing solutions that support and expand critical business functions, including configuration, security, integrations, cloud/SaaS technologies, and vendor-supported applications.
  • Collaborate closely with business partners and cross-functional IT team members to solve complex problems, innovate, and explore new approaches and technologies.
  • Understand business and technical requirements to make sound design decisions and evaluate trade-offs across solutions.
  • Demonstrate independence while contributing to multiple layers of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and support.
  • Share knowledge, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with team members to support overall team success and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree with a preference in a science, technology, engineering, or math related field or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of technology and/or engineering experience
  • Desire to learn new technology and motivate others to do the same
  • Wide experience with a diverse set of technologies and software modernization techniques, approaches, tools, etc.
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication and facilitation/presentation skills
  • Ability to work with multi-functional teams and collaborate with both IT and non-IT partners at all levels

Skills

  • SaaS model tooling and Vendor integration and management
  • AWS (S3, Lambda, Gateway, DynamoDB, EventBridge, Aurora, Cloudwatch)
  • Python & CDK
  • Principal's Enterprise Pipeline
  • Snowflake and ETL in the cloud
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Data Foundation & MDM

Pay

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

  • Sr Software Engineer I: $110,200 - $148,200 / year
  • Sr Software Engineer II: $127,000 - $171,000 / year

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly): $104,400 - $187,200 / year

Benefits

  • Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and offers the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal, or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO, and there is no set number of days provided.
  • Pension Eligible: Yes

Schedule

  • This role has an expectation for US domestic core business hours with occasional early morning meetings with our global counterparts.
  • Hybrid work environment in our Global Headquarters located in Des Moines, Iowa (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek).
