The AI & Strategic Partner Engineering team empowers AWS partners to innovate at cloud scale. We're pioneers in integrating AI-driven capabilities into partner offerings, building secure, scalable foundations for tomorrow's enterprise workloads.
Responsibilities
- Define the technical direction for your team, own architectural decisions, and drive cross-team alignment in a fast-paced, high-velocity environment, building partner-driven solutions alongside skillful builders, senior engineers, and architects.
- Design and deliver mission-critical integrations between partners (like SAP) and AWS-native services spanning Agentic AI, LLM workflows, distributed systems, security, databases, and emerging AWS services, enabling seamless data flow, identity management, and compliance for global enterprises.
- Architect AI-augmented SDLC patterns, collaborate with AI agents to rapidly prototype and validate solutions, and own full-stack delivery from design through production, emphasizing high availability, performance, and customer delight.
- Build detailed technical specifications, master diverse domains, and turn ambiguity into shipped products.
- Mentor junior engineers, partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Security, AI Research), influence roadmaps through data and credibility, and represent your team externally to partner service teams and leadership.
Requirements
- 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Autonomous Agent & Generative AI Engineering: Experienced in creating, maintaining, and successfully deploying multiple autonomous AI agents into production systems for enterprise customers and external partners.
- Possesses a deep understanding of different AI-native technologies, with demonstrated success implementing robust guardrails

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $168,100.00 - $227,400.00 USD annually.
