Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities
- Designing Solutions
- Apply technical knowledge to design and deliver scalable solutions across enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS), Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms, workflow tools, and supporting integrations
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions that improve content publishing, digital asset lifecycle management, workflow automation, and platform capabilities
- Independently and collaboratively develop, enhance, and maintain software supporting content management, digital asset management, publishing workflows, and enterprise integrations
- Build scalable APIs, platform extensions, automation, and custom services that support business capabilities across CMS, DAM, and workflow platforms
- Deliver reliable, resilient, secure, and maintainable software that meets or exceeds team expectations for stability, scalability, observability, and performance
- Contribute to integration development between enterprise platforms such as CMS, DAM, workflow management, identity providers, and downstream digital experiences
- Research and introduce new technologies, architectural patterns, and platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and business outcomes
- Share knowledge with the team and encourage continuous learning around enterprise platform engineering, cloud services, integrations, and modern software development practices
- Stay current on emerging trends in enterprise CMS, digital asset management, API development, automation, and cloud-native technologies
- Collaborating within the Team
- Participate in technical design sessions and architecture discussions to remove technical roadblocks and guide engineering decisions
- Partner closely with Product Owners, Content Strategy, Marketing, Creative Services, Digital Experience teams, and technology partners to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Help decompose complex initiatives into deliverable engineering work and provide technical leadership throughout implementation
- Defining Engineering Standards and Patterns
- Contribute to engineering standards, reusable integration patterns, templates, and frameworks supporting enterprise content and digital asset platforms
- Establish best practices for API development, platform extensibility, workflow automation, security, observability, and operational excellence
- Promote reusable architecture patterns that reduce technical debt and simplify future platform evolution
- DevOps
- Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, resilience, and operational health using metrics, monitoring, and observability
- Expand and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting enterprise content platforms and integration services
- Participate in production support rotation and provide expert knowledge for platform components, integrations, and publishing workflows
- Selecting and Managing Technology Vendors
- Participate in evaluating enterprise CMS, DAM, workflow, and supporting technology vendors
- Affiliate with vendor engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues and evaluate new platform capabilities
- Coaching Engineers
- Mentor junior engineers on software engineering fundamentals, platform architecture, integration development, cloud engineering, and operational excellence
- Provide technical leadership during design reviews, troubleshooting, and implementation activities
- Conduct code reviews and share engineering best practices across the team
- Serve as a subject matter expert on content platform architecture, digital asset management, and enterprise integrations
- Recruiting/Building Talent
- Help strengthen company engineering brand by participating in technical communities and recruiting efforts
- Participate in technical interviews and help define hiring criteria for software engineering roles
- Help evolve interview processes to identify engineers with strong software engineering, platform integration, systems design, and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise applications, platform capabilities, APIs, or integration solutions
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations using REST APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging, or workflow automation
- Experience working with enterprise content platforms, CMS, Digital Asset Management (DAM), workflow management systems, or comparable enterprise SaaS platforms
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices
- Strong understanding of version control and collaborative software development practices
- Experience designing secure, scalable, resilient, and maintainable distributed systems
- Expertise debugging complex applications, integrations, APIs, and production issues using logs, monitoring, and observability tools
- Strong SQL and database querying skills for troubleshooting, reporting, and data analysis
- Experience performing code reviews and providing technical mentorship
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise CMS platforms such as Brightspot, Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful, Sitecore, or similar
- Experience with Digital Asset Management platforms such as Brandworkz, Bynder, Cloudinary, Adobe Experience Manager Assets, or similar
- Experience integrating enterprise SaaS platforms through APIs, webhooks, and workflow automation
- Experience with workflow management platforms such as monday.com or similar
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot or comparable enterprise backend technologies
- Experience working within AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
- Financial Services industry experience
- Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across engineering teams
Benefits
The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $175,000 or the hourly equivalent.
