Senior Software Engineer

About the role

This is a founding engineer role to help build and scale the core systems behind an AI-driven healthcare platform. You’ll have real ownership from day one, with a clear path to leading engineering as the company grows. You’ll influence architecture, technical direction, and engineering culture while working on technology that measurably improves patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend systems for real-time or AI-enabled applications
• Influence architecture, technical direction, and engineering culture
• Optimize data pipelines and system performance at scale
• Design secure, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems
• Collaborate on API design and developer-facing platforms

Requirements

• Strong experience with TypeScript and AWS, including infrastructure and architectural decision-making
• Proven experience building and scaling backend systems for real-time or AI-enabled applications
• Deep understanding of API design and developer-facing platforms
• Experience optimizing data pipelines and system performance at scale
• Strong fundamentals in security, reliability, and fault-tolerant system design
• Product-focused mindset with a deep consideration for user impact
