Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality, performant, and testable full-stack software solutions.
• Build and enhance customer-facing applications that support strategic business initiatives.
• Contribute to technical architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-impact features.
• Participate in technical planning and help shape the future direction of the engineering platform.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback through code reviews.
• Mentor team members through pair programming and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Deploy production-ready code and support applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the application stack.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices to improve development processes.
• Contribute to building modern, scalable, event-driven applications and distributed systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Experience working in Ruby on Rails environments.
• Strong front-end development experience with React, modern JavaScript (ECMAScript), HTML, and CSS.
• Experience using TypeScript, Node.js, and npm.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Git, version control systems, IDEs, and deployment tools.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS Lambda.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, database design, and scalable application development.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Collaborative mindset with experience mentoring engineers and participating in code reviews.
• Passion for continuous learning and adopting modern engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing or supporting Kafka-based event streaming solutions.
• Experience with Elixir.
• Experience decomposing monolithic applications into microservices.
• Familiarity with service-oriented architecture and distributed systems.
• Interest or experience in retail, e-commerce, sustainability, or circular economy business models.

Pay

The pay rate for this position is up to R$ 24720 Brazilian Real per month. Compensation will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This rate is subject to change.
