Senior Software Engineer

About the role

The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET 8+, and Entity Framework. They will also develop and support object-oriented applications using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails. The role involves building and maintaining responsive web applications using JavaScript, React, and jQuery, as well as developing and supporting cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI and React Native. Additionally, they will develop and support Apple applications using Swift. The candidate should have strong experience working with relational databases including SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle Database, and at least 1 year of experience using Git with branching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support object-oriented applications using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails.
• Build and maintain responsive web applications using JavaScript, React, and jQuery.
• Develop and support cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI and React Native.
• Develop and support Apple applications using Swift.
• Design, develop, and optimize relational databases including SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle Database.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain business intelligence reports using Power BI, Crystal Reports, and Cognos.
• Utilize Git version control and follow established branching strategies for source code management.
• Deliver software enhancements within Agile sprints and actively participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Provide on-site technical support for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications and assist with end-user requirements gathering when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of application development experience within the last 7 years using object-oriented programming technologies such as .NET, Java, or Ruby on Rails.
• Hands-on experience developing applications with C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET 8+, Entity Framework, Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript, React, and jQuery.
• Experience developing mobile applications using .NET MAUI and/or React Native.
• Experience developing Apple applications using Swift.
• Strong experience working with relational databases including SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle Database.
• At least 1 year of professional experience using Git with branching strategies.
• 2+ years of experience developing and supporting Power BI, Crystal Reports, or Cognos reporting solutions.
• 3+ years of experience working in Agile environments, delivering sprint features and participating in Agile ceremonies.
• At least 1 year of experience providing technical support for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
