About the role
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to architect and maintain our codebase, enabling our ML, CV, and robotics engineers to efficiently develop and deploy production-grade solutions.
Responsibilities
- Architect production-grade Python systems for rapid experimentation, prototyping, and deployment.
- Lead in implementing best practices for code quality, testing, modularity, and documentation.
- Create internal tooling, APIs, and libraries to simplify complex infrastructure for research teams.
- Collaborate with the data platform team to integrate data processing, training, and inference capabilities.
- Design CI/CD workflows for research-focused Python projects to streamline transitions from prototypes to production.
- Act as a technical lead, making key engineering decisions and mentoring team members on writing high-quality, maintainable code.
Requirements
- Strong background in software architecture and large-scale backend development.
- Experience building developer tools, frameworks, or platforms for technical teams.
- Proven experience with cloud-based development, including data storage, persistence, and secure access in cloud environments.
- Willingness to learn ML/CV/robotics workflows while focusing on software engineering.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment where you act as a bridge between research and production.
Qualifications
- Technical skills in C#, Java, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with cloud-based development and integration of on-premises infrastructure with cloud services.
- Knowledge of ML, CV, and robotics workflows, though not necessary for day-to-day responsibilities.
