Senior Software Engineer

About the role
We're launching a brand-new Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) engineering team, building a platform from the ground up to help our partners collect donations, evaluate families for scholarship eligibility, and distribute funds. This role offers the chance to build a new product, drive technical direction, and work on a small team where your work is impactful. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key component of our development team, working closely with Product, Engineering, and other internal teams to understand customer needs and turn them into technical solutions. We work in a .NET stack with Angular, but we value engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn over specific tech experience.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, implement, and manage software applications.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define requirements.
- Write, test, and implement efficient code.
- Review and provide feedback on pull requests.
- Use AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow.
- Coach and mentor other team members.
- Stay positive and solution-oriented with team members and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of related experience.
Skills
- Strong technical competency, with a logical, analytical, and creative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and management on complex issues.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities.
- Adapts well to change and focuses on continuous improvement.
Pay
Annual compensation range for this role is $120,000–$150,000.
Schedule
This position offers a hybrid work option. Associates living within 30 miles of an office location work remotely part of the week and collaborate in-office three days per week.
Candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
