About the Role

We are a seed-stage company of security and AI experts backed by strong investors including Y Combinator, Basis Set Ventures, and Argon Ventures. Our platform helps users complete threat models, privacy impact reviews, and vendor risk evaluations in a fraction of the time. This is a full-time role for a Senior Software Engineer at Clearly AI. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions to automate security and privacy reviews. Given the size and stage of our startup, you will have total ownership of significant portions of the product.

Location & Work Arrangement

We are based in Seattle, WA, but the role allows for remote work. We meet in person weekly. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience developing software.
• Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and NextJS.
• Experience integrating applications with products such as GitHub, Google Drive, and Jira.
• Experience developing full-stack web applications (APIs, webhooks, background workers, cloud).
• Sound judgment on balancing the use of AI on the scale from AI-assisted auto-complete all the way up to "vibe coding."
• Experience with security and privacy assessments, compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is a plus.

Pay

Salary: $100,000 - $175,000/year
