Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative technology and data products for our ITG Accelerated Technologies and DT&I teams. You will work on platforms and services that enhance the care provided by our physicians and clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy innovative technology and data products within the ITG Accelerated Technologies and DT&I organizations.
• Design and implement scalable distributed software solutions.
• Communicate software architecture clearly and design DevOps strategies and processes.
• Create Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and supplementary specifications.
• Ensure implementations meet current coding, naming, security, and versioning standards.
• Consult on and guide the design of software solutions.
• Lead troubleshooting activities and provide after-hours/on-call support.
• Mentor other engineers and develop software development standards and frameworks.
• Partner with Enterprise Architects on technology evaluation and vendor relations.
• Interview, hire, and evaluate employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with cloud development technologies, especially Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages, especially Python and SQL.
• Experience with data engineering, including architecture for data ingestion, transformation, and feature engineering.
• Deep understanding of REST-based APIs, streaming, and event-driven architectures.
• Extensive experience with container-based platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Cloud Run.
• Understanding of data science concepts, SQL, and Linux command line skills.
• Experience with DevOps practices and associated tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Adaptability and strategic working relationship skills.

Qualifications

• Strong application development skills using ReactJS, TypeScript, and Python.
• Experience with AI-assisted tooling such as GitHub Copilot, Lovable.dev, v0.dev, bolt.new, or other Vibe Coding tools.
• Experience with healthcare data and technology is preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of software design patterns.
• Ability to produce and review enterprise-level system design documentation.
• Experience with testing methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Adaptability and strategic working relationship skills.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This role is typically full-time with a standard workweek.
