Senior Software Engineer

About the role

You will work with cross-functional global Technology teams in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment to design and develop scalable and efficient software that supports Factoring Business applications. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and across organizations to define and implement solutions for existing applications, with a focus on modernizing legacy systems and providing ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop technical solutions that meet user needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Contribute to and drive department best practices, guidelines implementation, and adherence to standards.
• Build and maintain large software platforms.
• Demonstrate a deep love of building elegant, maintainable, well-documented, and secure code.
• Abstract, refactor, and test solutions.
• Drive to learn new things and go above and beyond the call of duty.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance or High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in software application development and maintenance.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with full stack development.
• Module-level lead experience for small to medium-sized projects.
• Ability to understand and influence architecture and design.
• In-depth knowledge of System Life Cycle Development methodology (Waterfall and Agile).
• Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a rotating basis.

Skills

• Advanced experience with programming languages such as Microsoft .NET (C#), ASP.NET Core, JavaScript, HTML 5, XML, SQL Scripting, and PowerShell Scripting.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar code repository systems.
• Strong experience in .NET Core (5.0/6.0) and .NET 8.
• Expertise in Web API development and support.
• Proficient in LINQ and Entity Framework Core.
• Hands-on experience in Angular 19+.
• Strong understanding of front-end development using TypeScript, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
• Database experience (SQL Server 2012 & 2019, DB2, or Oracle).
• Experience with ServiceNow or other IT service ticketing systems is a plus.
• Prior experience with regulated financial organizations is a plus.
• Ability to build strong collaborative and productive relationships.
• Knowledge of SDLC methodology in both co-located and distributed team environments is a plus.
