FinQuery is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of full-stack features end-to-end — designing and building back-end services, REST APIs, and front-end interfaces from requirements through production release
- Drive technical decision-making within the team by shaping approach, challenging assumptions, and bringing clarity to complex engineering problems
- Maintain a high bar for code quality through thoughtful reviews, clear standards, and a focus on architectural fit and edge cases
- Maintain clear, living documentation that supports onboarding, cross-team alignment, and team velocity
- Conduct all business in accordance with FinQuery policies and procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience designing and delivering production software systems
- Professional experience with C# and .NET Core, including frameworks such as .NET MVC and Entity Framework
- Production experience building front-end applications with a modern framework such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Hands-on experience with microservices and REST APIs
- Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor in a professional or project setting
- Ability to collaborate and communicate across engineering and product teams and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Skills
- Hands-on experience with Next.js
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD tooling
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization patterns such as RBAC and ABAC
- Previous experience in Fintech or accounting automation
