Senior Software Engineer
About the role
Team Credo is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Optical DSP Application Engineering team. You will play a critical role in building and releasing our data analytics platform and infrastructure. Our platforms involve data acquisition from our products including metrics and internal state, data storage, transformation, and then data analysis, visualization and insight extraction, all with a delightful user experience. This role is full time on site in San Jose, CA. Base salary range is $120,000 - $200,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and evolve tools for data capture, experiment design, automated testing, and post-processing analysis
- Create and improve awesome user experience and user interface to every aspect of our data pipeline
- Extend data analysis platforms with new DSP/statistical methods, improved pipelines, and software features
- Use SWE methodologies like TDD, code reviews, agile and clean code to develop robust and scalable software
- Cookordination and guide team members while working with Application Engineering, FAE, firmware, and design teams
Qualifications
- CS or equivalent degree, focus on full stack, math and data analytics
- Direct experience in web app front end: both from implementation code (react, Vue for example), as well as fine tunning and honing the design and user experience of the site
- Proficiency in data and signal analysis using Python (NumPy, Pandas, Plotly, etc.)
- Database like SQL or timeseries
- Strong algorithmic thinking and structured problem-solving ability
- Linux, Git, VM, docker, CICD, and alike
- Understanding of SW architectures, considerations and tradeoffs
Preferred Qualifications
- Web app or dashboard development (React, TypeScript, Streamlit)
- Experience with MATLAB, SciPy, Octave, or similar tools
