About the role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Clover, a pioneering fintech company within Fiserv. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building innovative solutions that enhance the efficiency and growth of small and medium-sized businesses.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-performing software applications tailored for the restaurant vertical.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate business requirements into clear, scalable technical specifications.
- Write, test, and debug code across the stack to ensure system reliability and optimal performance.
- Continuously improve existing codebases and lead peer-review processes to maintain technical quality.
- Coach junior developers, sharing technical expertise to help grow the overall team's capabilities.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience (or equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or military service).
- 5+ years of web development experience, including 4+ years of front-end development with React and Next.js.
- 3+ years of back-end development experience using Java, C#, or similar programming languages.
- 3+ years of experience working with SQL databases.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud platform services (AWS or GCP).
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience developing applications with TypeScript and the ability to work comfortably across frontend and backend technology stacks.
- Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end when scope is ambiguous or continuously evolving.
Qualifications
- Direct experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Extended hands-on expertise with advanced CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
Skills
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and related frameworks.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as React, Next.js, and CSS.
- Experience with back-end technologies like Java, C#, and SQL.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and continuous integration tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $128,000.00 - $216,000.00. This pay range applies to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
