Transforming healthcare and improving patient care is at the heart of Counterpart Health. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves collaborating with operators, clinicians, and product managers to build tools that drive real change in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Build systems that enhance human efforts in healthcare, simplifying its complexities.
- Understand the business context behind what you build, connecting your work to outcomes.
- Exercise agency to make informed technical and product decisions on your own to advance outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with new tools and technologies to solve challenges and advance our goals.
- Adopt and evangelize AI in your own work and in the solutions you build.
- Help define and maintain development practices that enable fast iteration while ensuring quality.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and operational teams to conceptualize and develop new features.
- Engage directly with users and stakeholders to understand their needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software with proficiency in one or more common languages.
- Familiarity with various databases and web frontend technology.
- Experience building and refactoring complex (often distributed) systems.
- Passion for the impact AI can have in technology.
- Maturity, rigor, and attention to scalability in system building.
- Comfort working across different technical systems and concerns.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of building systems with AI agents as partners and team members.
- Understanding and approach to building and maintaining systems with a focus on outcomes.
Skills
- Proficiency in one or more common programming languages.
- Familiarity with databases and web frontend technology.
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Passion for AI and its potential in healthcare.
- Attention to scalability and quality in system design.

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is: $195,000—$220,000 USD.
