Senior Software Engineer
About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions. You will provide technical leadership on high-impact projects, facilitate alignment and clarity on goals, outcomes, and timelines, analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements, work closely with the Chief Engineer to define feature specifications and build products, conduct design and code reviews, and complete medium to large features independently.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects
- Facilitate alignment and clarity on goals, outcomes, and timelines
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
- Work closely with the Chief Engineer to define feature specifications and build products
- Conduct design and code reviews
- Complete medium to large features (each with many tasks) independently without guidance
- Identify and drive changes as needed for assigned codebase, product area, or systems

Experience and Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 14+ years of experience
- Four years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
- Required Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, experience assisting with development & execution of test procedures for software components, experience with generating & reviewing software/technical documentation, experience working in an Agile software development environment, experience using Jira and Confluence, experience with Git, Java, C++, and/or Python, experience with relational databases such as Postgres, experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), experience with Docker/Kubernetes, HAProxy, Nginx, and Elastic Stack

Pay Range
$175,000 - $210,000
