About the role
This role is office-based at our Bellevue, Washington office.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Develop and maintain microservices and applications using Golang (preferred).
- Develop features for dynamic network management, including automatic failover, load balancing, and path selection based on real-time network conditions.
- Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance for deployed SD-WAN services.
- Design and build scalable APIs and services that enable network automation, policy enforcement, and optimized traffic routing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Debug and resolve issues related to Kubernetes clusters and applications.
- Implement best practices for CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging.
- Write comprehensive tests to ensure the reliability and stability of code.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to software defined networks, Kubernetes and cloud-native development.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers through technical leadership, code/design reviews, and documentation of best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of backend development experience.
- Proven experience in developing applications using Golang with proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Ability to drive system design of complex, end-to-end, microservice interactions to create robust automation and anomaly detection framework for SD-WAN devices.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with client-go and Kubernetes API.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana, and logging tools like the ELK stack.
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, and radios.
- Understanding of SD-WAN architecture and smart network principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues, especially at the network layer.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
