Senior Software Engineer

About the role

This position is responsible for the development and delivery of complex requirements to accomplish business goals. The role involves ensuring software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Solutions must be well-designed with maintainability, ease of integration, and testing built-in from the outset.

Responsibilities

• Code solutions and unit tests to deliver requirements per the defined acceptance criteria.
• Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers.
• Mentor other software engineers and coach the team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) practices.
• Execute story refinement, define requirements, and estimate work for the delivery lifecycle.
• Perform spikes or proofs of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Automate manual release activities.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for integration, regression, and performance.
• Deliver complex features and technology to enable development efficiencies.
• Provide technical thought leadership based on software implementation experience.
• Remain accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Technical Skills: Experience in multiple frontend and backend languages, including Python, Ansible, Java, and Bash scripting. Understanding of data structures and object-oriented programming principles. Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and MySQL. Knowledge of application development methodologies and infrastructure. Proficiency in executing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and delivering automated software testing. Working knowledge of JIRA, Remedy, or ServiceNow. Proficiency in C#.
