About the role
To lead and own ongoing RDT&E analytic tool and semantic infrastructure development across two critical environments:
- An object management service Research & Development effort leveraging RDF/OWL and AI to advance object custody/disposition knowledge capabilities in an object-based intelligence context.
- An enterprise-scale repository of certified RDF/OWL ontologies, including a foundational reference ontology and package-managed application ontologies derived through controlled transformation (lossy but non-divergent).
Responsibilities
- Systems architecture decisions and design
- Develop, analyze, and validate requirements
- Drive technical direction and architectural decisions
- Set work priorities
- Requirements analysis and management
- Integration and testing methodologies
- Configuration management
- Implementing common core technologies
- Deploying containers to cloud environments using OpenShift environment and ISSO processes and requirements
- Integrating tools into existing NGA systems
- Agile/scrum, backlog leadership, ISSO familiarity
- Development of knowledge models or data graphs
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of ontology engineering and semantic interoperability
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, SPARQL
- Software proficiency with GitLab, AI/LLM/RAG integration, CI/CD, and RDF/OWL
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 13+ years with an MA/MS or 15+ years with a BA/BS in a relevant discipline
- Active TS/SCI clearance
Pay
The anticipated salary range for this position is $160,000.00 to $210,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, the scope of the position, relevant experience, education, certifications, internal equity, customer contractual requirements, security clearance requirements, and other legitimate business considerations.
Schedule
Onsite 5 days/week in Springfield, Virginia (NGA-NCE).
