Senior Software Engineer, AI Integrations

About the role

The AI Integration Team ensures seamless data flow between Commure's platform and over 40 Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), supporting core products like Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Ambient. This role involves designing integration solutions, utilizing LLM technology, and ensuring interoperability via HL7.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement complex integration solutions with third-party healthcare systems (EHRs, insurance providers, etc.) ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Utilize LLM technology to automate reverse-engineering of electronic health records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical approaches, and prioritize tasks.
• Contribute to technical direction of the integration platform.
• Take ownership of end-to-end integration workflows from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and integration issues.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR).
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in integration development.
• Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams for monitoring and alerting.
• Stay updated on healthcare technology trends and apply innovations.
• Participate in agile development cycles.

What You Have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in backend languages: Python, Go, or C++.
• Proficiency in frontend languages: JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with Git, GCP/AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, relational and non-relational databases, monitoring/alerting tools.
• Proven track record of designing end-to-end solutions and making architectural decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation Range

$170K - $240K
