Senior Software Engineer – AI & Cloud Platforms
About the role
We are seeking a driven and purposeful Senior Software Engineer – AI & Cloud Platforms who is passionate about technology, innovation, and excellence. This role focuses on enhancing core applications to improve scalability, reliability, and cloud adoption—key priorities for the organization. You will play a critical role in modernizing distributed platforms and supporting large-scale, mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate technical discussions and drive solutions that meet business needs and align with strategic technology vision
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentoring, including adoption of AI-driven and cloud best practices
- Collaborate with business, technology, and operations partners
- Identify technical risks and gaps early, and establish mitigation plans
- Continuously improve development processes, application quality, and time-to-market
Qualifications
- 6+ years of software development experience on large-scale enterprise platforms
- 4–6+ years of experience in financial services (preferably brokerage), with knowledge of margin, options expiration, futures, violations, and pledged asset loans
- 5+ years of experience delivering large, complex projects with multiple dependencies using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or Scaled Agile), including change and release management
- Bachelor’s degree in technology or a related discipline
- Proven track record of delivering solutions consistently while managing the complexity of large implementations
- Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with business partners, engineering teams, production support, and infrastructure teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including stakeholder identification, needs assessment, and expectation management
- Self-starter with strong prioritization and multitasking capabilities
- Comfort working in ambiguous situations and rapidly evolving technology environment
Technical Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on experience building distributed systems and cloud-based platforms
- Full-stack development experience with Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, and .NET in Windows data center environments
- Front-end experience with Angular, RxJS, TypeScript, PrimeNG, and .NET Core
- Experience integrating SOAP and REST-based services
- Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
- Strong database knowledge, including Aerospike NoSQL, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL
- Experience integrating applications with BPM platforms such as Appian
- Expertise with messaging systems including IBM MQ and Kafka
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI tools and frameworks, and working within an AI-led development lifecycle (AI-DLC)
- Strong background in Agile development methodologies
- Ability to own and operate multiple instances of mission-critical services
- Experience using telemetry, metrics, and monitoring to drive operational excellence
- Deep understanding of modern software engineering and architecture, including languages, frameworks, techniques, and industry trends
